SCALDIASTARS' latest project brought us back to our childhood. In a joint venture with Studio S, Scaldiastars' David Vermuyten took care of the music production and foley sound for the dvd documentary on the Belgian cartoon hero JOMMEKE and its author JEF NYS.

10.000 copies of this dvd will be handed out at the Antwerp Bookfair at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of JOMMEKE.

 On 13th October we look forward to see you at Scaldiastars Recording Studio for the presentation of the Dutch artist OTTOGRAPH. His colorful graphics are fully in line with the dynamic lifestyle we favor.

Graffiti artist, VJ and painter, he has marked numerous Amsterdam streets with his tags, works in the trendy Supperclub , and is regularly exposing at galleries all over the Netherlands. This is his first expo in Belgium.

Freeform Five came to our studio to start working on his remix of Arsenal. We look forward to see him around again!
 Scaldiastars @ Midem.
Scaldiastars went to Midem - The World's Music Market www.midem.com - in Cannes from 23 - 27th January.
Although we had a stand at the Sonar festival in Barcelona www.sonar.es for 3 years and go there to (work and) party for the last five years, this was the FIRST time we ventured out to Cannes for MIDEM.
Well, it was all they say it is: it is certainly the biggest networking event in the music business that we have attended so far. And it was fun!!! We had really interesting meetings and lounged appropriately and I have to say, those cocktails at Martinez and Carlton do add some style to the whole experience.

 Short-term exhibitions.
Scaldiastars is a recording studio in the first place, but part of our concept is to have short-term exhibitions of art/photo/music/digital projects we like and let you enjoy them.
We have been so busy since the opening party last May that until now only Doping Pong from St Petersburg has been revealed to you www.dopingpong.com , but we have more in store.
In April we will host the first expo in Belgium of Dutch artist OTTOGRAPH. Ever since the first time I saw his work I have been dreaming of getting him to Antwerp. Now this dream will come true. Hope you will like it too.
